Most lines here are negative: they don't go easy on you just because you're the youngest, a squat instructor who gives no quarter to a man turning sixty, we won't spare Taiwan just because it's an ally. 봐주다 has a second sense, "look at it as", and one line uses that instead: think of it as a taxi that drives itself. Don't read it as 보다 + 주다 "look on someone's behalf".
