Two different things look identical here. After a verb, -(으)라고 gives the purpose: 잠자라고 만들어 놓은 게 많더라고요 (there are lots of things built for you to sleep in), 다 예쁘라고 만든 거잖아요 (they made it all so people would look good). After a noun, -(이)라고 supplies a name: 블랙데이라고 만든 거예요 (they created it under the name Black Day), 세운광장이라고 만들어 놨죠. The clue is whether what precedes 라고 is a verb or a name.
