러 나가다

go out in order to do something

-(으)러 states the purpose of going and 나가다 supplies the going, so the whole thing is 'head out to do X': 약 사러 나갔다 'went out to buy medicine', 훈련하러 나가야 되고 'have to go out and train'. The difference from -러 가다 is 나가다: it means leaving where you currently are — stepping out of the house, the room, the building — not just travelling somewhere. It also covers going out to work: 일하러 나가는 척하고 'pretending to leave for work'.
