The formal polite way to end a statement, used on stems ending in a vowel; 습니다 is the identical ending after a consonant. This is the register of broadcasts, stage announcements, self-introductions, and thanking an audience — every example here is someone addressing a camera or a room. Against 어요, it is not friendlier but more distant and more deferential, so switching into it mid-video usually marks a formal moment.
