Formal question ending

Asks a question at the highest ordinary speech level: is this the usual quantity, is that supposed to be hidden, why are you butting in. It is also welded into the formal greeting heard twice in these lines, which is the version of 'hello' used on stage and to a superior. It carries a certain theatrical weight, so entertainers use it for mock-seriousness. The everyday polite question ending is 아요/어요.
