부터

starting from; first of all

Attaches to a noun to mark the starting point: 처음부터 끝까지 is "from beginning to end", 지금부터 is "from now on", which is how hosts open a segment. Paired with 까지 it draws the whole range — 과자부터 음료수까지 is "everything from snacks to drinks". On its own it can also mean "that one first": 언어 설정부터 바꾸세요 is "change the language setting first", and 재석부터 is "starting with Jaeseok". Compare 에서, which marks a physical place you start from; 부터 marks a point in a sequence or in time.
