'I heard that…' passing on hearsay

-다던데 reports something the speaker was told and offers it up for the other person to react to: 형 어저께 전화까지 했다던데 'I heard you even called her.' The -더- inside marks it as something picked up at some earlier point, so it stops short of a firsthand claim. Lines here use it both to tease (그분이 파리 갔다던뎅) and to lead into a question (거기다가 놨다던데 혹시 조사해보셨어요?).
