다면서요

I heard that, right?

It raises something you have heard and asks the listener to confirm it, politely: I heard the surgery went well, I heard it was over five hours this time, they lost by a single point, right. Most of these lines attach it to a past-tense stem, since what you usually want to check is something that has already happened. It is the polite form of 다면서.
