Reacts to a fact with astonishment, delight or dismay: what a coincidence running into you here, that you can call him that, that there's still so much out there I don't know, that Kevin Bacon's burger has no bacon in it. The sentence is usually left unfinished, because the astonishment is the whole point. It attaches to verbs and descriptions; 라니 does the same for a bare noun.
