으며

While, and at the same time

Links two things happening together: walking in the rain, growing up listening to it, walking while taking in the cool night air, listening to the songs several times. It is the written-leaning sibling of 으면서, and one line here shows the pair side by side — the on-screen caption uses 으며 while the person speaking says 으면서. Use 으면서 when you talk and 으며 when you write or want a formal tone.
