으라

Bare command, proclamation style

-으라 is the command form used for proclamations, written orders and quoted instructions rather than for speaking to the person in front of you: 백성들은 들으라...! 'hear ye, hear ye!' Historical dramas love it, and several lines here are exactly that. Inside a sentence it reports what someone was told to do — 얘가 먹으라 그래야지 먹어야 하냐 'do we only get to eat when he says so?'
