A command form used by an elder or a superior in old-style speech, which modern Korean keeps for fairy tales, historical drama and jokes: see that they never appear before my eyes again, hand over your wife, live however you want to live. It survives in frozen exclamations such as 물렀거라, meaning stand back, and 게 섰거라, meaning halt. Captions also use it to bark at objects, as in the line ordering the smell to go away.
