Proposes doing something together: 가자 'let's go', 만나자 'let's meet up', 넘기지 말자 'let's not let it drag on'. It is the plain, unpolished form, said to friends, family, teammates, or shouted as a rallying cry in captions. To someone you'd use polite speech with, say 갑시다 or 갈까요 instead. Fused straight onto the stem, so 가다 becomes 가자 with no visible seam.
