Marks a respected person as subject
Marks the subject of the sentence when that subject deserves respect — a grandmother, a teacher, a father, an audience. It replaces 이/가, and the verb that follows usually carries the honorific 시 as well. The one to keep it apart from is 께, which marks the person something is given or said to; 께서 marks the person doing the action.
