Object marker, squeezed onto a syllable

The object marker 을/를 collapsed onto the end of the previous syllable in fast speech. "That thing" plus the object marker becomes a single syllable, and so do "you" and "what" — which is why lines like "I got it for you" or "how am I supposed to do that" seem to have no object marker at all. It means exactly what the full 을/를 means; it is only shorter. It is extremely common in conversation and subtitles, and invisible if you are scanning for a separate particle.
