Two patterns cover these lines. The doubled 을랑 말랑 means right on the verge of something, as in the memory being on the tip of his tongue and the caption about hesitating over the next word. And 을랑가 is a regional way of wondering, equivalent to 을까: I wonder if they still have it, would that really work. Two lines are false matches inside the fixed word for flattery or sucking up.
