turns a verb into a noun; clipped note style

Attached to a verb or adjective it makes a noun out of it: 피곤하다 'be tired' becomes 피곤함 'tiredness', and the same move gives 섹시함, 웅장함, 구수함, and 쉬다 to 쉼 'a rest'. It is written into the syllable itself as a final consonant, so it never stands as a separate word. It also ends a sentence in the terse, memo-like style you see all over on-screen captions: 나침반 체크함 'compass: checked', 정하기로 함 'decided to settle it that way'.

Register: noun use neutral; sentence-final use is caption/memo style
