It repeats back what the other person just said, usually in surprise, which is what most of these lines do: he is giving you fifteen nights, he is going to keep doing that, my older bandmates adore me. Said flat rather than as a question, it insists on your own point instead, as in the line objecting that they cannot just pile work on him. The 요 keeps it polite even when the tone is exasperated.
