Soft 'but I am / it is' with verbs

-는걸 delivers a mild assertion or a fresh realization, often with a lift at the end: 기대되는걸? 'I'm excited for it.' Three of these lines pair it with -겠- to announce a decision the speaker has just reached — 집에 고량주를 사놔야겠는걸 'I should buy some Kaoliang liquor.' It attaches to action verbs; with descriptions and nouns the same ending shows up as -ㄴ걸.
