느냐

The question of how or whether

Packs a question into the middle of a sentence so the sentence can be about that question: it depends on how well you handle spice, the problem is how we're going to get there, what matters is who makes landfall first. Doubled across a verb and its negative it becomes a flat either-or — whether you believe me or not, whether you believe your dad or not. Ending a sentence, the same 느냐 is a blunt or old-fashioned question; here it is doing grammar rather than asking.
