니까요

Because... (polite, added after)

Supplies the reason for what you just said, politely and usually after the fact: because you're a difficult person, weekends are rest days, construction sites can be dangerous, because I'll protect you. Landing at the end like that makes it sound like you are justifying yourself rather than arguing. Two of these lines are the fixed reply 그러니까요, which is not a reason at all but a warm 'exactly, right?' agreeing with the other person.
