라더니

'You said it was X, but look…'

-라더니 quotes what was claimed earlier and then delivers what actually happened, which is nearly always the opposite: 야, 3팀이 에이스라더니 뭐야 이게! 'you said team 3 was the ace — what is this?' The first half sets a trap and the second half springs it. Proverbs use the same shape, as in 싼 게 비지떡이라더니 'as they say, you get what you pay for.'
