-라든가 throws out a noun as one example among others, without narrowing anything down: 뭐 휴게소라든가, 편의점이나 이런 거 'like a rest stop, or a convenience store, that sort of thing.' Speakers often chain two together, as in 장소라든가 주체라든가. After a verb the equivalent is -는다든가.
