Also spelled yo

Regional-sounding 'is'

A regional and homely flavour of the 'to be' verb, both closing a sentence and running into the next clause: it's really rich, what on earth is this, since I'm a princess. It also carries the set put-down heard in the last line, which literally pits 'words' against 'a fart' and means 'what kind of nonsense is that?'. Standard Seoul speech would use 이야 here, or 이에요 politely. Several of the other lines are just misspelt words that happen to contain the same syllable.

Register: regional, homely plain speech
