여

Regional 여 in place of 요 or 야

여 stands in for the polite 요 in regional and playful speech: 왜여? 'why?', 저두여... 'me too...', 어떤 거를여? 'which one?' It also replaces 야 in the Chungcheong staple 그게 말이여 방구여, an exasperated 'is that talk or is that a fart?' — meaning 'what nonsense is this?' The politeness level is unchanged; only the accent is.
