예요

polite "it is", after a vowel

Sticks onto the end of a noun that ends in a vowel to say what something is: 아기예요 is "it's a baby", 인사예요 is "it's a greeting". It is the everyday polite level people use with strangers, on camera, and with anyone they are not close to. Most of the time you will hear it as 거예요, literally "it's the thing that…", which is how speakers wrap up an explanation or a story, and with a question tone it becomes "what/why is it that…?" as in 뭐 하는 거예요? The same ending after a consonant-final noun is written 이에요 instead.
